This wonderful educational program will be taught by Justin and Tori McLeod of 4Hooves Large Animal Services, LLC. Both instructors have many years' experience in training and responding to animal-related emergencies.
***At this time the hands on participant slots are full but there are still spots available to audit the course. A wait list is available for those interested in the hands on training***
There are 2 levels of involvement in the LAER training: participants and auditors. Participants will attend lectures, demonstrations, be involved in hands on training and will receive a Certificate of Completion. Participant spots are limited so send your registrations in early! Auditors will observe all lectures, demonstrations and hands-on session but will not participate. Auditors will receive a Certificate of Completion for auditing the course.
Topics will include but are not limited to: Animal Behavior, Safety Considerations, Handling and Restraint, Containment, Entrapments, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Overturned Trailers, Barn and Wildfires, Unstable Ground (mud, trench, ice, etc.) Incidents, Water Rescues, Natural Disaster Preparation and Response, Hazardous Materials Decontamination, etc.
Participant fee includes course materials, 3 days of training, lunch for all 3 days and a tshirt.
Auditor fee includes course materials for that day, and lunch. T-shirts may be purchased for an additional fee.
*Payment for programs must be received in order to secure your space in the program.
**No fees will be refunded, but personnel can be substituted.
